FAA investigating 'close call' between JetBlue flight, Learjet at Boston airport

The Federal Aviation Administration says it is investigating a "close call" betwixt a Learjet and a JetBlue flight that unfolded Monday evening astatine Boston’s Logan International Airport. 

In a connection to FOX Business, nan FAA, citing a preliminary review, said "the aviator of a Learjet 60 took disconnected without clearance while JetBlue Flight 206 was preparing to onshore connected an intersecting runway." 

"An aerial postulation controller instructed nan aviator of nan Learjet to statement up and hold connected Runway 9 while nan JetBlue Embraer 190 landed connected Runway 4-Right, which intersects Runway 9," nan FAA said. "The Learjet aviator publication backmost nan instructions intelligibly but began a takeoff rotation instead." 

The connection added that nan "pilot of nan JetBlue aircraft took evasive action and initiated a climb-out arsenic nan Learjet crossed nan intersection."

JetBlue did not instantly respond to a petition for remark Tuesday from FOX Business.
