Air Force relieves 2 commanders, 4 leaders at North Dakota nuclear bomber, missile base

The Air Force has relieved six leaders assigned to a North Dakota guidelines successful complaint of atomic missiles and bombers complete a nonaccomplishment of confidence, nan subject branch said Monday. 

Maj. Gen. Andrew J. Gebara, commandant of 8th Air Force, relived Col. Gregory Mayer of nan 5th Mission Support Group and Maj. Jonathan Welch of nan 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron, some based astatine Minot Air Force Base. The Air Force didn't place nan commanders, but an Air Force spokesperson confirmed their identities to Task & Purpose.

"These unit actions were basal to support nan very precocious standards we request of those units entrusted pinch supporting our Nation's atomic mission," said Gebara.

Mayer, Welch and 4 subordinate leaders were relieved of bid "due to a nonaccomplishment of assurance successful their expertise to complete their assigned duties," nan Air Force said. The Air Force did not specify why commanders had mislaid assurance successful each six individuals.
